ok already!
It has been a diffcult year for me. I won't say it was bad, just different. I have been in a funk that I'm having a hard time getting out of. I hope my month in Florida does the trick. I got all my info for my next knee surgery yesterday. whoopee I'M NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT AGAIN! That will be May 27, 2009 at 5;30 in the morning. (Please pray to give me strength so I don't hurt Carroll this time. He is the worst nurse on this earth! ) Only if I stay well enough.. I went back to the Doctor Tuesday and I am feeling better but I still have this sinus thing goin on. We had a major water leak back in Oct. and we had a lot of mold in the floor. Buck put in a new water heater and Carroll and David tore up the floor in the utility room. I ended up with chest pains went to the hospital for a few days. I ended up having a heart stress test and passed with flying colors. Dr Rick kept asking if I thought I could walk and finish the test. Well yeah. I told them to put a different picture of a lake in front of that tread mill. I can walk anywhere where there is fishing. So much for mold and dust! Well anyway, Carroll and David are going to tear my bathroom floor out while I'm gone.
Carroll had a spell Tuesday morning and he couldn't talk. I told Dr Rick what had happen. He ordered a Doppler test and blood work. Come to find out his Depote level was low so they increased his meds for seizures. He doesn't ever remember anything going on. But he is fine now.
Lisa got laid off from her job that she has worked at for 13 years. She is so worried but at least she can draw unemployment. I remember the day I was laid off with kids, no unemployment or child support. When God closes on door he opens another. At least she has family who loves her dearly.
Carroll and I took Tatum and Lauren to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Sunday. Tatum is quite the travel guide. She is a hoot. She said. " Grandma, I don't like Obama very much. But I love Lincoln. I wish I could have met him. You know, grandma, I'm a authority on Lincoln." She did a great job explaining everything at the museum. She and the Park Ranger had a conversation last fall about a picture of Edward Lincoln. Tatum found one the Internet and, she just knew it was real but the Ranger said they hadn't determined that yet. He gave her a 2 page test on Lincoln and She got all of them right. She is going to work with me at New Salem this year. We will wear our long dresses and cook in the fireplace at one of the cabins. It is Lincoln's 200 birthday. Rani dressed up and worked at the park with a school teacher friend of mine. She does not want to live in the era! To hot and boring! No radios Ipods and Phones! We made butter in a quart jar with whipping cream. Tatum and Lauren like doing that but Rani didn't. I think Tatum and I could have lived back then.
I'm going to Florida for a month. Carroll is not going. So Aunt Lucy and Sue are going with me. I got a trailer down there and it isn't far from Jacks ( about 2 blocks). I will be fishing alot. Sue and I will be checking out Quilt Shops. We have taken lessons and I have made 8 quilts. I will have to post some pictures of them. Today is Aunt Lucy's 83 rd Birthday. I'm so lucky to have here.
I will post some pictures so I will blog again. Love to all Rett
