Grandparents Day with Sid

Tuesday was grandparents day at Sids school. He invited Omi, Grandpa Carroll and me to lunch. He was waiting at the door for us and took us down to the lunch line. Gosh, I had forgotten what that was like. Sid told us what to do, where to get out milk and dessert. We sat with his friend and his mom. We had chicken and noodles, green beans, jello, bread and butter and milk of your choice. I said the noodle were very good. Sid let me know they weren't as good as mine. Bless that boy. His friend wanted to know which was his mom's mom and which one was his dad's mom.Then he kinda stumbled to explain Grandpa Carroll. That was cute. Sid said he usually takes his lunch. He doesn't like what they have. I said I aways like school lunches. Besides my mom worked at Hewitt school lunch room and so did Omi. Omi was going to give a talk about living in Germany as a child durning the war. I would have like to hear her story. Well, thank you Sid for lunch, Granps and I enjoyed it.
