Pictures of our party

The kids had a great party for us at the GlennEarl Wine Cellars in Owaneco. Eighty nine of our friends and family came out to help us celebrate. Buck cooked up some BBQ, cheesy potatoes and cowboy beans. Kenny Eggiman from Fisher's Meat brought in a wonderful cheese tray. Tim, Art and Jill Bolhen are to be thanked for their fine hospitality. My cousin Sue Lehr bake a beautiful Anniversary Cake using the same colors as my wedding cake she made 25 years ago. Carroll and I have had a grand adventure these 25 years combining two families and raising 5 teenagers. No one said it would be easy. We have 10 wonderful grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter. Tatum asked me what I thought about being a great grand mother. I knew I would be a grand mother but it never entered my mine about great grand children. Here are a few things most don't know about us. Carroll ask me 3 times to marry him. His first wife and I were homeroom mothers for Teresa and David. I have a picture of Terry chasing Lisa around the Christmas tree at Memorial School with her Halo on. She died in December of 1980 and I got divorced in May of 1980. Carroll and Connie got married June 27, 1965 the same day that Terry and I did. Terry and I got married at 2:00 P.M. and Carroll and Connie got married at 4:00 P.M.. We lived in apartments across the alley from each other. But we didn't know each other. Carroll worked with my Dad at the paper mill. Carroll asked me out with Duane prodding him on Christmas eve. Our first date was on New Years eve and I had to work at the Lake Club and he didn't care. I gave him my dad's address and Carroll swears I told him East Franklin instead of West. I didn't want him to know where I lived yet. Teresa got her driver license the day we got married. Buck was in a literacy contest in Strasbourg and won the completion. Who ever thought this would work! What a adventure!
