Welcome to Great Grandma Retta'a World
Maddie was born January 11, 2008 at 10:05 A.M. She weight 8 lb 2 oz and was 21 inches long. She has the most beautiful head of red hair I ever saw. She will be coming home on Sunday. Maybe 2008 has a bit of promise in the air.
This is what makes my world go around. Holding her today brought back lots of memories of all my babies. I never dreamed of being a great grandmother. I can only remember my ggmother Casey and my Grandparent Lockarts. My grandchildren are so lucky that they still have all of theirs. What a wonderful world after all.

Happy 69 th Birthday Carroll
Born in Lakewood, Illinois to Edith and Herb Law. Went to Owaneco School and then to Taylorville and graduated with the class of 59. Off to serve Uncle Sam in 1962 and discharge from the service in 1964.

Happy Birthday
I can't believe your are 41 years old. I don't have any baby pictures of you. You have cleaned me out. But you were the most beautiful baby in the world. Your Dad said you looked like one of the Beatles with all that hair. You made your appearance on January 4, at 10:48 A.M. Aunt Jeannie, Grandma Abel, Mom and Dad were on hand. You were the first grandchild on my side of the family. Mira beat you out by being the New Years Baby. In the old family album you have, there are pictures of your Dad taking you out in the stroller everyday when he got home from work rain or snow. Of course in January it was snow. Your grandparents were about to string him up but you were never sick. You were a happy baby with all those aunts doting on you. Aunt Jeannie would come by everyday , she was going to Inhalation therapy School at Memorial Hospita . Uncle Rick and Aunt Linda were in Viet Nam. Jeannie spoiled you alot. You were walking by the time you were a year old. You started talking early than that. You Dad had the Mobil Station by the time you were 4 months old. Every one came in and talked to you. You were selling tires for your dad. No wonder you are a go getter, you been working forever.
You were our first experience as parents. I don't know why they didn't give us a manual. We made plenty of mistakes just as our parents did. We had a lot of love for you. You were our joy, hope for the future, and still are. You have developed into a beautiful girl, woman, mother and friend. And I love you with all my heart. Mom
